Spreading Holiday Cheer & Gifting From the Heart

In this post, I wanted to focus on things we can GIVE to others from the heart and spread the Holiday cheer.

Don’t let the commercial part, distract you from the real meaning of Christmas. So, let’s list some ideas! One of my favorite things to do, are Random Acts of Kindness. So whether it be leaving a dollar extra at the vending machines, or if you don’t want to spend a whole lot of money this year, shovel someone’s driveway for free! Click here travel to my other post listing some more ideas.

Another one of my favorites is, writing cards to people. EVERYONE loves getting a letter in the mail (helps them get their mind off of the bills in the mail.) You can write to a grandparent, which we all know they love, a military personnel, a friend, or relative. The options are endless! Let them know you care and have a Merry Christmas, or tell them thank you and how much you appreciate them. Writing letters to people can brighten their day.

Next, is baking! I love to bake. And I know this could fit in the Random acts of kindness/service catagory, but I think it’s a great way to spread Holiday cheer. The great thing about this is you can have fun! You can let your kids frost and help them deliver. Put on your Holiday music station on Pandora and grab you Kitchen Aid! This also works for a great Family Home Evening activity 🙂

Here’s a family idea, go Caroling! As Elf says, “The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loudly for all to hear.” Caroling is so much fun, you can invite friends {the more the merrier:) } ,and you can deliver goodies too. Just don’t be like these people here. {Studio C is my favorite ♡} Make sure you are bundled up and have hot cocoa afterwards ;).

If you can spend a little money, host a Christmas party! Parties are a great way to have everyone over and have fun while stuffing our faces with the baked goods we made earlier. It doesn’t have to be a crazy, wild one, just turn on some music have some sweets and just hang out! You can do a white elephant exchange which is my favorite, or watch a Christmas movie. The choice is yours!
